Steps to Submit an Application at Passport Seva Kendra

Make sure to reach Passport seva Kendra within your appointment time. If you are late then you won’t be allowed to enter PSK. So make sure you arrive in time.

General Check:

At the entry of Passport Seva Kendra the applicant is inspected by the security staff. They will check your appointment letter and you need to show some identity proof. Once you are inspected, you can enter into Passport Seva Kendra [Note: Only applicant can enter into the seva Kendra. Others are not allowed].

They will specify you which counter you should go to. In the counter, your documents are verified and if all the documents are satisfactory, you will be given a token. The token contain a Token Number, which appears at the top of the token. It is used for further sequential processing of application at PSK. You need to wait until your token number is called to go to the next step.

Step A:

You have TV monitors displaying your token numbers and the corresponding counters where you need to enter. In the counter, Citizen Service Executive (CSE) will let you see all the details and confirm that all the details are correct. CSE will take your photograph, fingerprints and will collect the applicable passport services fee (if not paid online). A printout will be given to you for verification and signature, this would be scanned and uploaded in the system.

Step B:

Once the step A is completed, again you need to wait and watch TV monitors to see where your token would be called for step B. At this step, Verification Officer (VO) will again verify all your original documents. If they have any queries regarding to documents, they will ask you to clarify. Else they won’t ask you anything. After completion of verification of all the documents you will proceed to Step C.

Step C:

Again you need wait until your token number is called to proceed to Step C. At this step, Granting Officer (GO) will verify all your documents once again and may ask to provide the originals just for verifying. After completion of everything, you can move towards the final step i.e., is Exit.

Exit:

At this step, You will be given a printed sheet which will contain all your details like Application Number, Your Personal Details etc. Now you will be asked to provide a feedback form and then you can come out of the passport seva Kendra.
So this is the whole process followed in PSK. Make sure to carry all the required original and photocopies of documents.
